2. CAR MAKES

The Car Makes module displays all the existing car makes and the corresponding data:

- Car Make title
- Status (Active/Inactive) – if the status is Inactive none of the cars associated to the Car Make is displayed on the site.
- Total – displays the total number of cars associated to the Car Make.
- Sale Pending – displays the number of cars associated to the Car Make that have a "Sale Pending" status.
- Sold - displays the number of cars associated to the Car Make that have a "Sold" status.
- Not Active - displays the number of inactive cars associated to the Car Make.
- View button – enables you to view the Car Inventory associated to a given Car Make on condition that at least one car has been entered into the system (see Inventory)
- Edit button – gives you the possibility to update existing Car Makes.
- Delete button – enables you to remove existing Car Makes.

To add a new Car Make:
1. Click Add New Car Make.

In the General tab:
2. Enter the Make’s Name (mandatory).
3. Select the Status - either Active or Inactive.
4. Enter a textual Description using the text editor (optional). The text editor enables you to easily add and/or update make-related content, additional links, images, etc.

SEO Tip: To enhance the ranking position of make-related keywords, we recommend entering content for each Car Make.

In the SEO tab:

5. Enter the URL (optional), an extremely valuable feature especially in SEO that enables you to dynamically “rewrite” the URL and consequently, obtaining an SEO Friendly URL (e.g. www. yourwebsite/make/model/).
6. Enter the Title (optional), a highly important factor in Rankings and Power Car Dealer as it offers a simple way of editing the title of the page at any time.
7. Enter the Keywords (optional).
8. Enter a textual Description (optional).

SEO Tip: Try to avoid using long titles and/or excessive keyword repetition.


9. Click on Save to add the Car Make to the list.
Clicking on Close directs you to the Car Make List without adding the new record.

To view Car Inventory:
To view the Car Inventory associated to a given Car Make, click on the View button corresponding to each Car Make in the list. You will be instantly directed to the Inventory section.

To update Car Make related information:
1. Click on the Edit button corresponding to the Make you want to update.
2. Perform all the necessary updates.
3. Click on Save to record the updates and return to the Car Make List.
Clicking on Close directs you to the Car Make List without saving the updates performed on the selected record.

To delete a Car Make:
1. Click on the Delete button corresponding to the Car Make you want to remove.
2. Click on Yes to remove the Car Make from the list. Clicking on No cancels the delete action and returns you to the Car Make List.
